RE: The current climate of our Climate Catastophe
27 June, 2025
As a steward of the current environmental crisis that is plunging us rapidly into the Sixth Great Mass Extinction, I am dedicated to platform and champion for all causes that will actively defray the progression of industry polluters bringing us closer to the death of not only our kind, but an extinction level that promises to eradicate most of what we’ve come to know all these millions of years.
I do not see how, we may be able to mediate our lives with any semblance of peace without thrusting this earth’s current dire state of being at the very top of our individual, as well as collective responsibility.
As I have yet to witness a force of societal and political change that has reached critical mass in the country which I reside, Singapore, I owe it upon myself to dedicate this life to ensuring that we may at the very least, begin grieving for the state of the earth that it is now in.
This dedication of mine may be visible in several forms: in writing, producing art, engaging with community, including myself in stakeholder meetings, pressuring the incumbent to enact policies that effectively reduce their carbon responsibilities.
This is more of my way of remembering than it is a manifesto. I want to remember how gravely I felt when I read that we are, at this juncture, 2 Degrees Celcius away from the onset of a series of one-way doors leading us to the irreversible sixth mass extinction. At least i want to remember this moment, before it truly realizes.
Love, Hao
